Weekly report 12/17/2018
GamersOrigin Fortnite contenders flew to Sevilla, to take part in the last European DreamHack of the year. Because it was in duo mode, M11Z partnered with JuleZ while Deadra teamed-up with Lenzh.
Our two duos reached the semifinal after the group stage, thanks to their first and sixth place. Lenzh and Deadra managed to claim the Top 1 in their semifinal while our other duo reached the final too, thanks to its sixth place.
M11Z and JuleZ have been in good shape since the Maximus Cup, and they shined again during this DreamHack Sevilla, claiming a top 1 and two tops 2 in the final. They finished the tournament at the second place, between Bastille Legacy and Solary for a 100% French podium. Our second duo ended at the twelfth place.
Edward “Gallon” Goodwin was in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for the last HCT tournament of 2018 and of the current esport environment before the major changes planned for 2019.
Despite winning 4 of his 5 first games, he didn’t make it to Top 16 due to his 5-4 score. Gallon still got 4 more HCT points, both for him and for the team.
All of our Hearthstone players are qualified for their regional Winter playoffs, which will be played in January. Trec, Purple and Gallon will defy the best players from either Europe or Americas, trying to earn a ticket for the World Winter championship, which awards World Championship spots #GOWIN.
I am extremely glad to be qualified, especially after being very close to make it last season. I secured my spot with less pressure thanks to my victory in Germany. I am also happy because of the upcoming changes and the end of the ladder, which was awful. I cannot wait to see what the next competitive year will be.
